COMMON QUESTIONS

FOR BRIDES

  • What is your maximum number of makeups on a wedding morning?

8 makeup applications is the maximum. An assistant can be arranged at an extra fee if required, however it is subject to availability.

  • Where will you provide your makeup services on my wedding day?

I will travel to your preparation venue to provide makeup services for your wedding day.

  • What time do you start the makeup application?

A Bridal makeup application takes approximately 1 hour. For Bridal Party members makeup application takes 45 minutes per person.

If the preparation and ceremony are in the same location, I would advise having hair and makeup completed one hour before the ceremony starts.

E.g. Ceremony starts at 1 pm- Hair and Makeup are complete at 12 noon.

If you need to travel from the preparation venue to the wedding venue, I would advise being ready one hour before you leave to get married.

E.g. the ceremony is at 1 pm, travel is 30 minutes and pick up is at 12.15- Hair and Makeup are to be completed by 11.15.

This extra time allows for private time with the bridal party and family, photographs to be taken, and makeup touch-ups.

  • How long do you stay after my makeup has been applied?

I will vacate just before you leave for your ceremony. If you would like me to stay all day or return for touch ups this can be arranged at an extra fee.

  • Do you travel all over the UK & abroad?

Yes, we travel all around the UK and overseas when requested.

  • How can I book your services?

Please enquire through the contact page. Replies can take a few days so please be patient, especially in the summer months. Please be aware that bookings are only secured when the deposit and booking form have been confirmed as received in writing by Dora.

MAKEUP TRIAL

  • Do I need a makeup trial?

A Bridal Makeup Trial is an essential part of the Wedding Makeup process.

It’s precious time to meet with me and discuss your makeup likes and dislikes. It allows you to see how products feel and look on your skin.

  • Does everyone in my bridal party need a makeup trial?

Not everyone in your bridal party requires a Wedding Makeup Trial.

Bride’s Makeup Trial is essential. My advice would be if anyone feels anxious about makeup application to book a makeup trial.

  • When should I book my makeup trial?

Between 12-18 weeks before the wedding day is an ideal time. Please bear in mind if using a spray tan or having false lashes applied it would be ideal to have these done before the trial so you can see the whole look together.

Bridal trials take place on weekdays only and are booked up to 8 weeks in advance.

  • Where does my makeup trial take place?

Trials take place in my relaxed, private home setting in Grove, Retford, DN22 0RJ.

If you require a makeup trial in the comfort of your own home this can be arranged at an additional fee.

If the desired look isn’t reached within this time an additional trial can be booked on another date and an additional fee will be charged.

Trials take place on weekdays only so please bare this in mind before booking.

During the Summer months trials will be limited due to the increased number of weddings taking place.

  • How long does a makeup trial take?

Each Makeup Trial takes approximately 60 to 90 minutes per person however please give 120 minutes to allow for discussion of logistics including timings, preparation venues, and suppliers.
